Honda Insight was awarded as Cleanest Car of 2011 or the cleanest cars in the event of Jaffa's Green Car Awards 2011, held in England in early April 2011. This award was given in cooperation between the Jaffa's, site, and to analyze vehicle emissions from various world producers marketed in the UK throughout March.

Based release received on Wednesday (13/04/2011), Insight worked out as the cleanest cars, not just based on the calculation of emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), but including NOx, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, PM10 particles, and pollution sound. Insight earned a perfect number of research results, that is 100 percent. Machines used by the Honda Insight is a 1.3 liter i-VTEC engine with an electric motor, called Integrated Motor Assist (IMA).

From research result, gasoline consumption Insight 21.7 kms / liter, CO2 emissions of 60 mg / km, and it already meets Euro 5 regulations. Second-generation Insight was launched in 2009 and marketed in North America (Canada and United States), Europe, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Ten Cleanest Cars car category in 2011, consists of five vehicles powered by gasoline and five hybrid cars.
